Yes, the carrier’s cargo insurance will cover your vehicle during transport. We also maintain a contingent cargo insurance policy that protects vehicles for up to $100,000 in case the carrier’s policy does not adequately cover a valid claim.
Yes, you can include personal items in the car. You can pack up to 100 pounds of personal items into the trunk of your car at no additional charge.
Anything over that will incur additional charges. The best approach? Send us a photo of your vehicle interior before your shipping date and we will give you an exact price for any additional items.

An easy way to calculate shipping time is to assume that the driver will drive an average of 500 miles a day. Given that, sending your car 1000 miles, for example, would take two days of travel time.
You also have to factor in that it takes 2 to 7 days on average from when you first schedule your shipment for the first available pickup date to become available.
On some routes, express shipment may be available and typically leaves 1 to 3 days after booking.
An inoperable vehicle can be shipped if it has a key, can brake and steer, and if its wheels roll. In these situations, we charge an additional fee of $199
We will find the best route for your car and will coordinate all the details for the pickup between you and the driver. If your plans change and you are unable to be there for the originally scheduled pickup, we can pick your vehicle up early and arrange for its safe storage until your shipping date for an additional fee.
Clean all loose items out of your vehicle and remove any valuable items. Make sure there is only about a quarter tank of gas in the vehicle, as well. You will also want to give the carrier a set of keys and provide them with any instructions they may need to operate your vehicle safely.
It is best to plan at least a week ahead of your desired shipping date. Keep in mind that shipping may take longer to coordinate if you live in or are shipping to a remote area.
